Cacao is not chocolate; it is the sustainable solution to the chocolate industry. During the chocolate making process, only the cacao beans are used while the remaining 70% of the cacao fruit is discarded as waste. Blue Stripes upcycles the entire cacao pod and is innovating on how the cacao fruit is traditionally used. After 20+ years in the chocolate industry and selling his previous company, Max Brenner’s Chocolate restaurants, Oded Brenner recognized a massive opportunity to create a platform of healthy and sustainable products from the entire cacao fruit. The Blue Stripes platform of products includes cacao water, granola, trail mix, dried fruit, chocolate-covered cacao beans and chocolate candy bars, all made from the entire cacao pod: cacao bean, fruit and shell.
